Pointed Ponder: Peoples, Seek God and his Guidance

We know that when the people of Israel missed their savior, they also missed what was necessary for their peoples’ peace. Likewise, let all peoples seek God and his Son Jesus sincerely to find him and ask him to reveal what is needed for their own peoples’ peace.

Luke 19:42-44

saying, “Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”

Pointed Ponder: God’s Relational Rewards

While some errant religions impose relational penalties on those who leave, Jesus assured his followers even greater rewards to those facing such retribution.

Luke 18:29-30 29 And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the age to come eternal life.”
