Proverbs 3:13-18 Wisdom The Bride

Proverbs 3:13-18 (NIV):

13 Blessed is the man who finds wisdom,
the man who gains understanding,

14 for she is more profitable than silver
and yields better returns than gold.

15 She is more precious than rubies;
nothing you desire can compare with her.

16 Long life is in her right hand;
in her left hand are riches and honor.

17 Her ways are pleasant ways,
and all her paths are peace.

18 She is a tree of life to those who embrace her;
those who lay hold of her will be blessed.

King Solomon, son of King David of Israel, in The Bible’s Book of Proverbs shares that the fear and reverence of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom.  The writer continues to poetically paint portrait’s of wisdom when it is pursued, embraced, and loved, which The Proverbs Wisdom The Bride visual above shows a portion. You can learn more and uncover the broader context and advice by searching http://www.biblica.com for Bibles Online to find Proverbs 1, 2, and 3, and more on your search for wisdom.

Psalm 2 Reasoning Matrix

Psalm 2 (NIV):

1 Why do the nations conspire
and the peoples plot in vain?

2 The kings of the earth take their stand
and the rulers gather together
against the LORD
and against his Anointed One.

3 “Let us break their chains,” they say,
“and throw off their fetters.”

4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
the Lord scoffs at them.

5 Then he rebukes them in his anger
and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,

6 “I have installed my King
on Zion, my holy hill.”

7 I will proclaim the decree of the LORD :
He said to me, “You are my Son;
today I have become your Father.

8 Ask of me,
and I will make the nations your inheritance,
the ends of the earth your possession.

9 You will rule them with an iron scepter;
you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”

10 Therefore, you kings, be wise;
be warned, you rulers of the earth.

11 Serve the LORD with fear
and rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry
and you be destroyed in your way,
for his wrath can flare up in a moment.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

This Psalm was written by King David of Israel, a man after God’s our heart most of his life, and one who knew the certainty of victory when confronting Goliath of the Philistines, among others. You can find this an other Psalms at http://www.biblica.com/niv by searching for Psalms 2 or Psalms 3, and other chapters and verses in The Bible.
